The Location

Anam Cara is located about 40 minutes drive from Malaga Airport and 15 minutes from the Pueblo Blanco (white village) of Alora, in the peaceful isolated Sabinal valley.

The loudest sounds you will hear are the goats' bells tinkling, carried on the cooling breeze over the hill.

Alora is in the beautiful Valle del Sol in the heart of the Guadalorce valley, and its old Moorish castle makes a spectacular entrance to the town.

Nearby is the famous Camino del Rey, a narrow and dangerous pathway built alongside the El Chorro gorge - popular with rock climbers.

Nearby is the fantastic Ardales Lakes National Park - perfect for a wide range of water sports.

There is a good commuter train service from Alora to Malaga. There are also the wonderful cities of Granada (with its Moorish Palace, the Alhambra), Cordoba (with its famous Mesquite) and Seville - all of which are close enough for day trips. The beautiful village of Ronda is also close and well worth a visit.

Anam Cara is a rustic villa in a rural location. We aim for comfort and quality.

Our bedrooms surround an enclosed Andalucian courtyard. All of Anam Cara's bedrooms have full en-suite facilities. Good quality towels and bedding are also provided.

There is a shaded terrace at ground level.

There is also a very large roof terrace, providing 360 degree views of the magnificent Andalucian countryside.

Meals can be served indoors but are more likely to be taken al fresco on the terrace.

All of our fresh produce is sourced from Alora. The 10m x 5 m pool overlooks stunning views of the valley and surrounding mountains.

Costs

Your tuition cost of £1995 includes a single occupancy en-suite room, course manual, one-to-one coaching sessions, follow-up coaching sessions throughout the year, transfers, all meals (some at local restaurants), wine, local walks and excursions.

Not included are your air fares and insurance. Just get yourself to Malaga airport and we’ll do the rest!
